OUR COMPANY HISTORY
Havey Communications was founded in 1983 by Michael Havey and operated out of a small residential basement in Lake Forest, Illinois. In 1988, the company moved to its current facility located in Lake Bluff, Illinois. In 2018 we celebrated 35 years of excellence in providing communications and emergency warning equipment for police, fire, EMS, municipal and corporate clients.
Havey Communications provides communication solutions and devices for schools, hospitals, golf courses, recreation facilities, churches, highway departments and contractors. We provide, install and support public safety equipment for police, fire, EMS and roadway support vehicles. We service a vast array of clients from local municipalities, county departments and state agencies. Federal clientele has included the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, U.S. Protective Services, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Naval Station-Great Lakes and U.S. Coast Guard Station-Wilmette.
Our vehicle upfitting service and total vehicle build outs include: sales, service and installation of two-way radio equipment, mobile data computers, in-car video systems, emergency warning lights and sirens, prisoner transport and restraint systems, on board vehicle location devices, moving radar and laser systems, vehicle graphics, striping and logos.
